HON. JUSTICE O. A. ADETUJOYE
Biography
Olusola Adebisi Adetujoye was born on 23rd August, 1965 to the family of Late Chief and Mrs. Lawrence Adebayo Akintola of Alajiki Compound, Oyo town. Her academic career began in Baptist Day school, Oke-Isokun, Oyo in1970, where she obtained her First School Leaving certificate in 1975. She attended Olivet Baptist High School, Olivet Heights, Oyo between 1975 and 1983 for her West African School Certificates (O’ level and A’ level). She thereafter proceeded to the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where she obtained a B.A. Religious Studies/English between 1983 and 1986.
After her Youth Corp in 1987, she went back to study Law at Obafemi Awolowo University and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Degree LLB Hons in 1990 and proceeded to the Nigerian Law school, Victoria Island, Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991. Olusola started her legal career at the Chambers of Bandele Aiku & Co., Legal Practitioners, she was there between January 1992 till October 1993.
She became the Legal/Corporate Affairs Manager at Commercial Bond Finance and Securities Limited, Ibadan between November 1993 and June 1996 when she joined Akinige & Co. Legal Practitioners, Ibadan.
Mrs. Adetujoye commenced her career in the Oyo State Judiciary as a Senior Magistrate Grade II in February 2001. She rose through the rank and became Chief Magistrate Grade I in 2007. She was appointed as a Deputy Chief Registrar II in May 2015 in charge of Litigation, Bailiffs, and Enforcement Sections and was promoted in 2018 as Deputy Chief Registrar. She was sworn in as a Judge of the High Court of Justice, Oyo State on the 12th of October, 2021. She is a Chartered Arbitrator and Mediator and her hobbies include Reading, Singing, and Playing Games
